Another day another #Xboxblunder this time MS wont let indies self publish, considering that AAA games hardly innovate now, indie games made cheap will be where most innovation will be and those games will be on PS4 and most probably wont now be on Xbox One, oops!

which is a shame as many indie games are brilliant! Have loads of indie games on steam, ever played Orcs Must die, or super meat boy?

Indies can innovate more as they don't cost a fortune to make games and can take a risk companies like Activision or EA can't take because they are too big, in my day when I was young games could be made in a bedroom with just a single person

where do we get the next generation of talent from? I believe its indies which is why I buy so many indie games on steam and play so may on PS3

As I think I have said in another thread I have tried indie games, and they are not for me..they remind me of my retro days, and I am happy to leave them behind me.

I realise I may miss out but games like 'the witness' and 'from below' I think it is called on the one just really don't seem worth my time playing..

I never played braid but it is supposed to be good, have never ever been interested in minecraft no matter how many videos i watch.  Micheal will have to show me sometime or something lol.

I hear what your saying and I realise that that is where the talent is going to come from. I just don't get why Indie is now such a big thing all of a sudden, there wasn't much fuss when MS had the arcade going , and I never even knew that PS store had an indie area lol.

And to be fair I have no idea how much microsoft charges to publish a game, but if the PS4 does take a command of this generation  they may well rethink their policy maybe Smile

When one of you guys gets your PS4 I will have to pop round for a test drive eh Smile

Minecraft is one of a kind, people have tried to replicate it but have ultimately failed.

Ive only played a few indie games but the ones that i have played (mainly minecraft) i have enjoyed.

Come down to the IOW shifty! Should have 2 on launch day if not only the 1!!
