Should MS have held its nerve over xbox one policies?

Post by Willow on Tue Aug 06, 2013 10:02 am

Yes according to Jesse Schell http://www.computerandvideogames.com/422580/schell-microsoft-should-have-held-its-nerve-on-xbox-one/

we keep hearing about how it would have been "Steam for consoles" personally I don't think it would have matched Steam.

My opinion MS badly explained the features, and what I would have done is to have applied the DRM to games purchased from the store, then we would see if people take to it or not.

Also remember Steam does not have to care about retailers such as game who would refuse to stock a console if say they under cut store prices on the console store like Steam does with its impressive deals

I don't think it would of matched steam completely, but may of come very close.

I've just found out the joys of selling items on steam (inventory items like trading cards and Team Fortress 2 items) and yes for REAL money!

they need to add this feature and the steam workshop type feature to consoles, but I doubt it will ever happen!
