Party chat still 8 at launch

XBO like PS4 and Xbox 360 is set to have a limit of 8 in party chat http://www.computerandvideogames.com/435256/xbox-one-party-chat-accommodates-eight-at-launch/

notice at launch, which could mean it goes up, then again they said that about friends lists and they only did that on XBO.
Thinking about it if you had the same tag on XBO and 360 and had more than 100 friends what would happen on 360? would it recognise all your friends or blank out XBO added friends? I expect MS will update 360 to support more friends I guess!
