in a one off special http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2449308/Almost-30-years-Open-All-Hours--Arkwright-Sir-David-Jason-reprise-role-Christmas-special.html

Arkwright has died and left the shop to Grandville. Not sure what to think about this, its one of my favourite comedy's

But so many re-makes don't work. Can't imagine the show without Ronnie Barker. And the till, surely digital by now, so wont be fast snapping shut.
You would not be able to re-make Open All Hours with Arkwright (new actor) because having someone stutter is probably politically incorrect, which explains why so much new comedy is crap because they just make them politically correct which in English means not funny!

I'm going to watch it to see but I don't have much hope for this one off show!
