PS3 matches 360 70 million unit sales!

I knew it would happen, eventually and also remember the 360 had a years start and how many people replaced 360's with new ones after they broke!

Pressure must now be on MS, when you think Sony had a rough start this generation, if they had not had all the problems and Bluray was cheaper at the start they would easily be out in front now.

My prediction PS3 will outsell 360 in lifetime sales, makes you wonder what will happen for next gen, MS have given it all to take a advantage a years release ahead yet they have obviously not capitalised on it much, lack of support in Japan has been bad for MS

in a way i think the bluray helped ps3, how many people bought that back in the day (when it was still expensive) cos it had bluray, i know it infuenced my decision.

Ill take xbox over ps3 any day purely due to the fact the comms system is much better....

As for the next gen, difficukt to predict but i think i will be sticking with xbox unless sony makes a huuuge techological jump forward over microsoft. next time round i only want to get one of the consoles and not both (my ps3 has barely been used the last coupe of years).

As willow stated above, the PS3 has had some great exclusives. The Uncharted Series, Infamous Series, Killzone Series and the Resistance games have all been great exclusives for it.

Then again, look at the 360. Halo Series, Gears of War Series, Forza Series. All great games that i have spent many hours playing.

Do i regret getting both consoles? Hell no. Would i do it again for the next generation of consoles? Yes and No. I will only buy one console upon launch but i would probably get the other later into its lifespan.
