A photo of Xbox One box for £450

To be fair it did say photo in the type of product so it is his own fault and cannot sue the seller.

I suppose but you don't expect a photo to cost £450!

perhaps the person put it up to see if they could catch someone out

not exactly as he states the seller emailed him to say it was a console and also the product description field states home console not photo - thats the important bit on eBay, not the header.


this was a clever advert clearly set up to trick someone - eBay have refunded him already.

In the article I saw, it said that he had listed it as a photo but no included it in the description or something along those lines. Fair enough if Ebay have already refunded him.

if you have a look at the daily mail link in Willows post it shows the item specifics and thats showing the specs for the xbox one.

i also wonder if you would be entitled to a refund as the product you received was not as described - thats clearly a printed sheet of paper and not a photo so even if eBay had decided the advert was ok, then i would have claimed that i hadnt received a photo.
