Gamestation no more?
Apparently they are to be all rebranded Game http://www.oxm.co.uk/45813/gamestation-is-dead-long-live-game/
The stockport store has already closed so I expect even more closures I suspect. The state of the games industry is dire, atm new consoles will be needed sooner rather than later luckily the Wii U is out in november http://www.computerandvideogames.com/368292/uk-retail-begins-to-settle-on-wii-u-launch-prices/

Re: Gamestation no more?
Well, i can only talk for our little store on the isle of wight, but we are smashing our profit margin every month!!
My manager went to a meeting on Tuesday and spoke to the team today. It is apparently a "rebranding" as, by doing this, they save over 20 MILLION on everything needed to keep both the names going. Think about it. Two lots of everything is needed at the moment. POS, labels, shelf stripes, uniforms, the two different websites,.... the list goes on and on.
Hopefully this saving can be put back into the company and the customers will get the benefit from it. Only time will tell.

I'm surprised they did not merge to one brand as soon as they bought Gamestation.
