Tomb Raider

Been looking forward to this one.

The reviews have been very good for this. Big fan of the tomb raider games and this looks really interesting. Anyone else looking at getting it?

I have it preordered, had to pay £150 on vet bills this week, but still hoping i can keep it preordered.

purchased it on steam the other day, looks like I can pre load it now (basically download it to your hard drive and play on release)

I have all the Tomb Raider games on steam including the download one, been a fan of the series since the first game, is it time Tomb Raider got its crown back from Uncharted?

Hell yes it's time. I have sorted out a copy for Michael (as it's his birthday on Tuesday and he said that he wanted it) so there should be a few of us with this game.

I've got this on pre-order. Always been a lara fan boy, so bring it on! Still not sure on the multiplayer, but will defo be up for some games with everyone.

Yeah, I am looking forward to playing this on Tuesday! Same as you Madeye, the MP is something that I will play with you guys to see what it is like but it is all about the single player for me and there aren't many games that I can say do that for me!!

really like the new Tomb Raider game, a good reboot, PC version has improved hair on Lara, and DX11 support

Can just about play it properly on Ultra at 1080p, looks like a new graphics card will be needed soon, holding out for a 8000 series Radeon.

Feels different to other Tomb Raiders somehow, a bit like how Daniel Craig's Bond is different to other Bonds, that's a good thing! Tomb Raider needed a re-booting

Not played multiplayer yet, I know that Ciante has the game on steam, so will probably ask him for a multiplayer game, see what its like. The game is really a single player game

Well I don't get my copy until tonight as it is a birthday present so probably wont be on it tonight but if I am then I shall be up for some MP and will definitely be on it tomorrow night!

I am really enjoying this game after the first few days, the adventure crown has now returned to Tomb Raider, can Uncharted take it back on PS4?

even though I am playing the PC version I am using a 360 controller and put my PC through my TV looks great, I like the fact you can go back and get treasures you have missed, wish I could do that in previous games!

I have been really enjoying this as well. Got most of the achievments for the MP and probably wont be playing it again as it pretty bad.

Played the SP for about 7 hours and am only about 30% through it and I am absolutely loving it!! The tombs are really clever, the bow is awesome and there is nothing like spewing someone in the eye with an arrow. The new gruesome take on the series is great and I am enjoying it throughly. Not got many collectibles but with it being free roam even after you complete the game then I am sure that I will go back and get them for the achievments!

as long as you don't take an arrow to the knee!

Have not played multiplayer, a game like Tomb Raider multiplayer would feel tacked on (like it did on uncharted and Bioshock 2)

The multiplayer is VERY tacked on and quite poor. I've played it on ranked matches (got the achievments on private) and I didn't like it, felt clunky and was quite a bit boring.

it really annoys me when they deliberately add multiplayer to a game that does not need it. I think they were going to add multiplayer to Bioshock Infinite but decided against so they could spend more time on single player, a good idea in my opinion

Sometimes the publishers tell the developers to add MP purely so that they can add an online pass (they didn't with Tomb Raider) and so they can bring out DLC for added income.

Bioshock was going to have it and as you said, they decided against it and added development time to the single player.

got this for the 360, trying to get a cracked copy for my pc as want to see how my rig handles it on ultra..but having issues getting it to work..if i can run it will maybe get it from steam next month..

Tried one ranked game on 360..we won the first game, then for some reason half my team quit and we lost the second game then it was only me for the third and final game...lost it 8 to 12 so gave em a run for their money even though it was just me against 4 lol.

Not gone back to it though.

Well a load of us did the private games to get most of the MP achievments and I can safely say that I won't be going back to it again.

The SP is really good though and I am just over half way through the story apparently but only about 37% on everything. I will have to make sure that I go back through and get most if not all the collecibles and do all of the tombs etc.

well I have a radeon 6950 and I run it on ultra with the hair settings as well get 26fps average, a card like yours (7970 is it?) should be capable of at least 10 fps more than that @1080p

Yeah the Sapphire 7970 Vapor-X Ghz Edition to be exact. It apparently runs it at roughly 55+ on ultra with the Tress FX on as well!

well I completed the single player game the other day (to about 91%) got all the relics and maps, just a few of the secondary items I did not get plus did not fully upgrade all weapons

I'm Completely finished with this game now. Story 100% and multiplayer done and dusted with. So glad there was a exploit on getting the last character unlocked as I couldn't see myself getting to a level 3 prestige. Holla if any one wants to know the character trick.

Crystal dynamics have just said that there is no single player dlc coming out for this just multiplayer. Not buying that unless it cheap cheap cheap. Another game to sit on my bookshelf

I completed it to 64% the other day, might go back through and 100% it but i'm not sure yet. I got most of the MP achievements but not sure if I can warrant the pain of playing it more to get the rest to be honest!
