Just a week to go!

well PS4 launches in US on Friday, but for us, Xbox One launches NEXT Friday and PS4 the week after!

It seemed like its was ages until release can't believe its so soon now.

Probably still play 360 / PS3 because of so many game's I have to complete or play (stacks on PS+)

I've enjoyed this console generation, strong competition has been good for all us gamers.

Never seen 2 systems launch with a week of each other before should be fun.

I'm expecting the first wave of games to be ok but may have issues. Next years games will tell us what the systems are capable off. I mean look at 360 launch games look rubbish now! Gears 1 was released a year after the console. And PS3 conversions were terrible at first until they became much better and classics released such as Uncharted and Tha Last of us, exclusive quality games you don't get on launch and never will! (I know BF4 is a quality game just not a single console exclusive)

What will you play first?

I will probably set Fifa to download (I think it was a downloadable copy if I'm right) and play Forza.

I hope the system arrives before I go to work, probably turn up like 5 minutes before I leave for work!
It will really be Saturday I will be on it, hope all of us will be on Fifa, BF4 and Forza (whoever gets that)

I'm expecting a few problems maybe connecting to live or so, its rare for anything to go smoothly these days. But should be great fun!

Probably do the same as you Willow, set FIFA to download and then load up Forza 5 and give that a run, or maybe even Dead Rising 3! And yeah FIFA is a download copy, comes as a code in the box apparently.

I wont be able to start playing it until about 4.30 on Friday due to stupid school! Oh well, just a quick google search for 'PS4 cant connect to psn' and there is a lot of results on the first page of the PSN network crashing due to the overload and overwhelming amount of people trying to all connect in the short amount of time!

perhaps a good thing we wait 2 weeks after US for UK PS4 then   I'm sure it will settle down

fairly sure you can choose fifa or forza with your day one edition. so gonna go for forza.

Think you had to choose that a while ago Shifty! If you just went with the standard day one then you will have FIFA as the game that comes with the console.

ive been thinking long and hard about the situation and i think im actually gonna wait till its released out here.

1) if i buy it in the UK or Germany then i miss out on getting forza/fifa free which means i need to pay for them
2)i if theres a fault i need to return it to the UK/Germany for repair (untill its released over here)
3) Xbox NL on twitter confirmed to me that its possible to buy it elsewhere then bring it here, however the initial set up would need to be done with a UK/German account and then all subsequent downloads voia that market (so realistically i need to get one from the UK as i dont have a German bank or credit card)
4) if its true that release is Feb 1st then its not too far away and im gonna be pretty busy with work and a few trips im making between now and mid Jan so will i miss it that much?

well I ordered the fifa one but have ordered Forza game on disc

id like to get the forza one, to be honest fifa doesnt do it for me nowadays so im not fussed about that one.

ill just have to make do for now with pics of you lot opening boxes up
