360 and PS3 budget consoles now?
Just wondering now they have been reduced to secondary status, just like what happened when PS2 was released the previous systems then become more of a budget consoles.
I noticed some really good deals on 360 and PS3 for full games just recently (games for £3), deals they did not do long ago. Obviously they wont abandon both systems yet due to the fact they still have huge install bases and costs have come down on them, they also still need to make money off them.
I don't think PS3 has made its research and development + manufacturing costs back yet. When you think PS3 sold originally for like $200 less than the cost to make them and they make what $10 on each full price game, no wonder MS always quotes software attach rates.
Its also the reason these new consoles don't have £400 graphics chips in them, they might never make the money back on them.
