13 GB Dead Rising 3 patch

Yes 13 GB not a typo, I fear patches are now out of control

For the sake of gamers, finish your games before releasing them and try to keep patches to a minimum its stupid now!

Im done with this game now. Getting rid. Shame though because its really good but im just not doing it.

If it carries on like this for another month or 2 then the Xbox One will have to go too. Not doing it. My internet isnt good enough and I want to be able to play my games. BF3 was bad enough with 1.2Gb or so updates but this just takes it too far.

when 360 was released MS limited patches to 4 MB! this was to try and stop developers releasing unfinished games or constantly patching all the time. But when games got big and powerful like BF or COD, they could do what they liked. Since the games were on a treadmill especially COD with November, they had to launch no matter what.

What has been the result, glitchy as hell games, bigger and bigger patches.

A console like the Xbox One is really a digital download type system where it was expected everyone had a excellent connection, they only put a drive in because people wanted a disc.
Yes I believe in the digital future but the clue is in the title "future" Its alright if you are on 100 Mbps and above without caps broadband, which most people are not

I've been very critical of developers releasing games that are not finished and the new consoles are awash of rushed to market games, optimisation patches because they never had the time to optimise the games properly before launch. I just hope watch dogs does not need a mega patch after the delay to that game

Did any of you actually read that the patch actually overwrote most of the original install data so it wasn't adding onto the install you already had by too much?????

yes but its still a 13 GB download, I did know it was not adding 13 GB to the actual install

Its better that it overwrites the previous file but its still 13GB!! My internet is terrible so 13GB would take all night to download it and by then I probably couldnt be bothered to play it or have other things to do!
