Re: General Chat: April
As of lunchtime today im back online with a cracking 150 mbps connection, oh how ive missed you Mr Internet!
Ive just come back from the UK where i spent some time as a mechanic for an Aussie mate who rides speedway, had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
My stomach issues seem resolved, im back for more blood tests ref my liver tomorrow and i think i will have to get my leg checked out as it appears i have trapped a nerve or something?
Night shift the rest of the week so i foresee a bit of xbox time during the day, finally!

Re: General Chat: April
well I have now started saving up for my new PC, hope to get it in September or October, when my current desktop is 5 years old! Although I have put in a SSD drive and upgraded the graphics card a few times!
My 1st Generation Core i7 is getting a bit long in the tooth now, saying that I used to upgrade my PC every 2 years at one point! Don't need to upgrade as much anymore!

Re: General Chat: April
I may sell my i5 and get an i7 after seeing the recommended specs for Watch Dogs. Although the i5 will still easily run it, the i7 will guarantee it to be within the recommended plus it will help me elsewhere too.
Re: General Chat: April
I would wait for the 5th generation of I7's not sure when they will be out. Also I'm thinking if NVidia release 800 series cards I may get a 880 (assuming they retain the existing numbering system) my 680 is still a good card but since it was originally a £400+ graphics card (managed what £230 ish if I remember) I would need a decent card to upgrade from
If not I will simply put my current card in the new system and get a new graphics card next year, could do with a card with more Ram though, 2GB is going to look limited once proper next gen (I suppose current gen games) arrive and require much more graphics memory

Re: General Chat: April
But when the new gen intel processors come out it will probably also mean a new motherboard as well so thats another cost on top too. Depends on whether they stick with the same socket or not. But the new generation should be a decrease in size from the 20nm its at right now so will probably mean a new socket.
Im gutted that the 670 has been pretty much stopped being made by the companies now. Very few places stock them and if they do they are normally 2x the price of what they should be!

still have a few games I have yet to play!
Its sad really as I liked getting the achievements for the games which just added on to my Xbox account.

Ive been playing the new trials game on mobile, Trials Frontier and its surprisingly good! No where near the console versions of the Trials games but still fun, especially for free. Playing it and enjoying it so much made me buy Trials Fusion on PC which releases tomorrow!
Also got Football Manager 2014 for £8.75 and I'm really enjoying that too!
