Why does EA's Origin Suck?

According to EA Battlefield 3 sucks http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-06-12-ea-likens-difference-between-origin-and-steam-to-difference-between-battlefield-3-and-call-of-duty

Anyone who has used Origin on PC knows how very crap it is a 3rd rate Steam clone. I actually like Steam, been using it since 2004, so when I used origin on PC (forced to for BF3) I knew I was using unfinished software.

valve (Steam) keep forum and Steam accounts separate (for various reasons security is one I guess) EA dont so if you post on EA's forums and you get banned you LOOSE all your games, until recently now you are just banned from playing online. Am I the only one who is concerned about this?

I know people hate Activision but it seems to me that EA are rapidly approaching arrogance levels to rival them. Its a shame they have some great games and it would be a shame if people avoided them because of the arrogance EA seem to have developed
