Will Battlefield 4 defeat COD?

Thought I would put in this thread, wont be buying this for current systems. Despite what I said may buy on XBO if friends are getting it on that format.

Been thinking about this for a few days now, COD Ghosts pre-orders are way down, people are really looking forward to BF4, has COD finally been beaten?

IF Cod Ghosts sales do end up really down that could be serious trouble for Activision, problem is so many of there other franchises have done really well in the past then slumped.

My opinion it wont crash completely but could end up with sales behind Battlefield in the next game or so!

I shall be getting it on PS4 launch day and I have informed Santa that I would like a XBO copy under the tree on Christmas morning.

Gameplay it will hands down but sales not by a long shot. CoD will break the $1 billion mark again as it has done for a few years due to the massive following.

If activision, treyarch and iw dont do something seriously different with the series in the next 3 years however, we may see battlefield sales go through the roof and overtake CoD.

are they not showing off the multiplayer cod ghosts tomorrow? wonder how different it is, then again how can you shoot people any different?

could do with new modes and such

im definitely getting BF4 but haven't even considered CoD, its just become too stale for me and i prefer the team play that BF offers.

i will probably get BF4 on 360 (depending on what the release date for xbox one is), luckily a games store over here is doing an offer whereby you purchase it on 360 then if you want to 'upgrade' to the xbox one version on its release you trade the game in and pay 20 euros for that version. not too bad when you consider a game is 50-60 euro over here....

Im not getting it on 360, see no point tbh as the xbox one is supposed to be out within 3 weeks. I am picking this up for xbox one on launch though and i am buying it on the 1st november on pc!

for people who can't afford next gen when they are released at least stat's can transfer from current to next gen which will help a lot of people I guess!

well watched the online event and still not impressed with ghosts, 20 more killstreak awards to get owned with and destroy your K/D ratio. seems to be some nice clan support in there, but we are not really a clan anymore lol.

graphics still don't scream next gen to me as BF4 did, still looks like, well it still looks like COD.

Have only got BF4 preordered as doubt I will have much spare cash to go on the console. Applying for a job at Heathrow, more hours but takehome is a grand more than I get now. so fingers and legs crossed.
