Re: General Chat: March
been complaining to Game about lack of game code for Lego Batman on the Game web site it says buy Lego on any format (movie we are talking about) get a free Lego Batman code for steam
on twitter Game have been giving all sorts of excuses like they did not see my order number even though I sent it 3 times and now I needed to buy the PC version even though it does not state that on the site quite the opposite!
http://www.game.co.uk/en/the-lego-movie-videogame-wild-west-pack-with-emmett-minifig-only-at-game-276937?pageSize=20&categoryIdentifier=589106&catGroupId=
I bet they will change that fast now.
Ok I already have Lego Marvel and Batman on steam but would have liked to give the code away
I can't shake the impression Game have been dodging the question

Re: General Chat: March
well I now intend to get my new PC around September time, delayed by a month so I can spend in the summer Steam sales!
Which means by then my current desktop will be a month away from 5 years old! and its still good, ok I have put in a SSD and new graphics cards (2x) but 5 years is a good innings! Its the longest I have ever kept a desktop PC EVER. Remember buying my first desktop in 1998, replaced it 2 years after and that 2 years after, then 4 years and now 5 years. You just don't need to upgrade as much anymore due to the fact systems are getting good enough now!

Re: General Chat: March
why the hell don't MS do cross buys? I suppose up until now its not been needed but on PS you can buy a games for one system and get the game on another system.
Games like Fez (out tomorrow on PS3 / PS4 Vita) buy once and you can play all versions!
Got my eye on Hotline Miami for PS3 as you get the Vita version and soon PS4 as part of cross buy for a single price!
For achievement hunters this is a good idea if they rolled it out for store bought games on Xbox One / 360 probably be indie or smaller games though.

Re: General Chat: March
well here i am again lads!
A quick explanation as to my absence from here and xbox live.....
Firstly my internet account went tits up. To cut a long story short it was in the name of my ex who i share our bought house with, she didnt pay the bill so it was cut off early February - ive arranged a 150 MBPS connection which all being well will be up and running around the start of March.
Secondly, but more significantly, ive not been well. I picked up what the doctor believes is a virus that totally wiped me out. i was constantly vomiting, running a fever, aching all over, suffering stomach cramps and completely incapacitated for around 4-5 weeks. It got so bad i slept on the bathroom floor to allow the cold to relieve the pain. After some check ups the doctor found my liver had also picked up a virus, he has treated this as well and now i am on the road to recovery - ive even been allowed to have the odd beer or two (handy as im back in the UK at the moment).
Hopefully in the next week i will get myself online again and shortly after find a game i can play you guys at (im due to get Titanfall next week along with a turtle beach adaptor if i can find somewhere with one in stock!)

Re: General Chat: March
well my broadband went down for a few days, a few more and I would have slashed my wrists!
back online now though!
Bought myself a couple of games, Bioshock Infinite on 360 sorry for £6.50 or what ever could not resist! (even though I have finished it on PC and PS3)
Bought Thief on PS4, for £25 not bad, bloody annoying trying to buy a game on a web site, on your mobile phone! (because internet was down!)
one thing I found out about PS+ games on PS3, when you have not played them for a while it still has the old subscription end date on them and so would not work, when I went back online switched the games on, and they worked plus updated the subscription end date, so in effect PS3+ titles so update automatically with you sub end date, looks like it does on PS4 though.
Things you only learn when you internet is down!
